Let’s see the most famous PSU when we talk about modding: the new 520W OCZ modStream.

The box appear big and well done, in the bundle we can find:

These is what OCZ says about the psu infos:
· 160x150x86 mm
· 95~132Vac / 190~264Vac 10/6a
· 200~240Vac Only**
· 450W: +3.3V(28A), +5V(45A), +12V(26A)
· 520W: +3.3V(28A), +5V(52A), +12V(28A)
· Over-voltage/Short-Circuit protection
This is what we find on the psu:
This power supply particularity is the modular cables that we can use or remove just everytime we want to, and that this psu is designed for the modding lovers since the layer is so well polished, and the color is titanium-like. All the cables are UV-reactive same as all the molex. We can only say that this psu is awesome as you can see in the following pictures:
when we look at the rear of the psu we can see only the on-off button. And we can find the 120x120mm fan thermocontrolled.

And these are the cables in the bundle, obviously everyone modular (there is only ONE PCI-e cable):
Test
Let’s finally test it, this is the system we used on:
· Amd 64 X2 3800+ @ 2500mhz vcore default
· MSI k9 Platinum
· Kingston ddr2 pc-8000
· Ati X300
· Maxtor 80GB
Here is the scorse, in the left picture you can see the idle voltages, and in the right one the full load (we started a double PRIME95)
+3.3 volt
+5.5 volt
+12 volt
As we can see te psu is very stable, all the voltages are completely regular, only the 12v is a little bit less stable…but in the end we can say that this psu is great!

The OCZ Modstream, rappresent on of the beautiful psu right now avaible, loved by modders and by the overclockers too. For sure this psu is not able to stand with a SLI/CF configuration because of his “low” battage. In the dark and with some neon turned on this psu is awesome with all its UV-reactive parts. OCZ remains a warranty when we talk about qualità in every field this brand goes on.
